Roll on 2009

I am looking forward now, all the first are over and done with. The 1st New Year, my 1st Birthday, J's first Birthday, our 1st Wedding aniversary, the 1st Christmas and 12 months since Dave left. He (or rather his girlfriend) made arrangements for them to go away so that they can't see J at all over Christmas and New Year. J was a bit subdued on Boxing Day, although my Folks, Sandy and the kids where here he just went upstairs and played on his x-box by himself. Think he was missing his Dad, but D phone was off so he coudn't contact him unless he phone the girlfriend and asked to speak to D - which he did in the evening. Yesterday (Saturday) it was back to work for me, and my Folks left to go back to Surrey. Cold anf bright here today (Sunday) and Sarah, Ross and the twins are coming over for a drink later this afternoon

Todays entry for JYC, (prompt about the weather) decided to do a double layout today and will add photos to the 2nd page as soon as I have taken them. No snow as yet, but sky looking grey and heavy so hopefully we will get some soon. Proberly be after I have gone to work. So if you see a mad women running around with a camera taking photos as 9 o'clock tonight.
Had a text from Linda, they are all OK. But Emily is frightened of every thing - even the ceiling fan. Sure she will get used to it all.

Mixed Feelings

Today is a day I have been dreading for the last few months, Linda, Dean and the kids left the UK for Sunny Austrilia. Part of me is sad because I don't know when I will see them again and the other part is excited for them. Hopefully I be able to win the lottery and go out to see them in the near future.

On a move cheerful note I have made a good start on my Christmas shoping, just Alan, Nic, Jayde and ny Mom to get. But I know what I am getting, Alan, Nick and Jayde.

Journal Your Christmas

I have always love Christmas, growing up in lovely hot and sunny South Africa it was a time for lots of pool parties and getting together with friends and family. Seeing Father Christmas all dressed up in a red suit - despite the heat.

Then we moved the the UK and all of a sudden Christmas was in the middle of winter, cold, grey and wet. But the up side was we now had J, and Christmas with kids is great.

Fast forward to last Christmas when on Boxing Day Dave decided that he no longer wanted to be with me and left to live with another women. Now this year I am torn, part of me wants to celebrate like we have before and part of me just wants to pretend it isn't happening.

I decided to do Shimelles Journal your Christmas http://www.shimelle.com/classes/389/journal-your-christmas/ as a focus on both the good times in the past and the future. Will be good to look back in a few years and see how we cope with our !st Chtistmason our own. Maybe starting some new traditions with just J and I. Already decided to do a gingerbread ouse instead of a christmas cake - will post photos once it is done.

Day 5 - getting there with steps

A day of mixed emotions, not a good day on the one hand. On the other put in place steps to improve my mental health. Weighed myself again t...
